If its eating well then its golden![]()
Multibars have a decent reputation as far as reef compatibility is concerned, however, I have heard of a few picking at LPS. If he is a healthy specimen and is eating hardily I would go ahead and add him. One of the major things to keep in mind when attempting to mix angels and coral (aside from the species' natural diet/tendencies) is to keep the angel well fed and the coral nice and healthy. Angels (or any fish for that matter) are much more likely to target dying or just unhealthy corals. Go for it, that is one beautiful fish![]()
I've been keeping Multi-Bar angels for the past 18 months. I had 2 prior to my tank crash in the fall, and have a trio currently. I have a wide array of LPS - Acans, Blastos, Hammer, Frog Spawn, Torch, and Deshayesiana.
They have yet to touch any of them.
I have plenty of SPS, clams of all sizes and easily over 1000 polyps.
My multibars hunt throughout the rocks and leave everything else alone.

Mine ate all my Acans and Scolys, But is still one of my favourite fish
Wow..., can you elaborate more on what happened? Was it taking frozen or prepared food?
It was and still is taking both frozen and prepared foods, It first started picking at the Acans and I stupidly thought nothing of it due to me having around six good size colonies. I couldn't remove the fish as it meant dismantling the tank so just left it to it :sad2:
Bonded pair coming up for sale on DD today
Who got them?
I tried ..... and failed. Juuuuust a bit too slow %&*#@^& I don't recall seeing these on DD before?
