Is there any easy way to raise just a few fry??

Both my perculas and clown gobies lay eggs regularly.

I do not want to commit to growing phyto, rots etc., to raise lots of fry, but is it possible to raise just a few in a 15 gal tank that is chock full of pods and some cheato to hide in? There are also mysids and amphipods in it. Will they eat the babies?

pods and mysids are way too big for fry... if you're not committed to setting up the phyto and rotifers, don't expect any to survive. :(

It's fairly unlikely that any will survive in there. The mysis will likely eat the larvae, after all.

If you just want to run a few larvae, buy a preserved algae paste (like Instant Algae) to give you green water. You can also buy rots in any quantity. Buy enough rots to get you through the first few days, use green water to keep the rots nutritious, and only put a few larvae into the tank. As long as you keep adding green water for food and understock the predators (the larvae), the rots will reproduce faster than they're eaten and you should be good to go until the larvae get to the artemia stage.

Keep an eye on the ammonia level in the water, though, since you won't be using live algae.

Take advantage of that canal behind your house. You have ready access to wild plankton ;)

instead of growing all that stuff, place an order w/ reed mariculture, purchase the 700,000K rotifer pack, w/ rotifer food. It will keep you running for a few weeks.
does require much more than a phone call, your credit card, and a 5 gal aquarium + air stone

If you find an easy way to raise fry let me in on it!!

Build a large saltwater pond in full sunlight. Start an algae bloom with some sort of fertilizer. Stock with prey items. Give them some time to grow. Introduce a very small number of larvae so that they don't run out of food or screw up the ammonia levels. Easy. :) Not very space efficient, but....
