Is this hobby Nerds Maker?????

Hello!!!
really i want to know if im not the only guy that thinks that this hobby is only for nerd people
because since i started with this...... im buying aditives, fishes, corals, equipment everthing
in stead of waste my money in the parties and clothes for me

or thinks that you are the hottest?

Hummm, depends on what you think a nerd is. There are geeks and then there are nerds. Nerds are typically thought of as smart whereas the picture you put up is more geeky.

I was in Army Special Forces and in football while in school and I've been called a nerd by friends but NEVER by strangers despite being into tech, photography and reef keeping. I think I actually scare people

I'm a geek in many ways (knowledgable), but not a nerd (socially inept)(depends who you ask ), and I feel honored to be called one.

Just enjoy the hobby as much as you can and the heck with labels.

My girlfriend calls me a loser due to my reef but never a nerd...but i think thats more because whenever shes at my place all I am doing is staring at my tank . I do not see a reefer being a nerd or geek...how many people have a piece of ocean in there house...my tank is the talk of the party when i have friends over...especially when alcohol is introduced :rollface:
I think reefers are in fact the COOLEST people on earth...simple as that.

we are called reefers not geeks or nerds i'm in construction my hands have mountains of callous i wash them with steel wool i'm missing parts of some of my fingers i play hockey full contact nerds do not do these things i can barely work a computer but i can tell you how to identify and how to keep an anenome (i can spell and say it right too) but besides all that who is so concerned with what others think of them ?

Perfect example, put a hot girl in your avatar and watch all the dudes freak like they never seen or been w/ a girl before!LOL
But I still love it, and out of all my past hobbies reefers seem to be the most helpful, good karma people I've ever met.
And there's nothing nicer than sitting home w/ good company and a bottle of wine gazing at my tank, pretty good mood making thing.
Course my construction buddy/co workers will still tell me how many lap dances and beers I'd get out of the money from selling my tankl!LOL

OK. Well, I've never been geeky, per say. But, I guess deep down everyone is nerdy to a degree..LOL. I think there are a very broad range of people interested in reefkeeping, which is great! From tattoo covered, free spirits to very refined and conservative folks....It's nice that so many different people have something in common that brings us together

I dunno, you tell me. I'm a cabinet maker by trade, but I can read Koine (New Testament) Greek, am about to study Hebrew for the next 2 years (4 semesters), have 8 bookshelves in an 800sf apartment, and ride a motor scooter the one mile to and from campus.
