Is this the exciting future of Live Rock? Must See!!!

I have a question in regards to how much rock to order, can you show a ruler or something next to an "average" size piece as well the weight to give an idea on how much to place on order to fill my tank.

Wonder how long it would take me to drive down and go diving with you from Sacramento, Ca :) That water looks so much warmer than Monterey and I have never dove in your neck of the woods... :(

I always like the updates in this thread.

no driving....airport is down the street...bring mask and fins...

Southwest airlines.....is how we did it with D2mini......great flights...and el-cheepo....hurry up...water is still warm....and clear...

You allow people to go out even if they aren't buying at that moment? I asked for certification as my xmas gift and can think of no better way to spend a weekend in the spring/summer then seeing your operation and diving with you. I mean I guess you also get some free labor out of me as well but would be cool to see how this all goes down

Get certified.....with advanced open water and nitrox endorsements...and a slew of dives under your weight belt......:spin3:

bleh, I can't PM so I will have to post here.

liverock- What is the round about time frame from online order placement to shipment sent?

Just looked at the video and it looks great!!! The current was ripping pretty hard which you'll see by the particles zipping by me in the water column. All of the rock is looking phenomenal. Super fishy today and fantastic viz. I got about 30 minutes of video to edit, so bare with me.

What happened to the video? I have been looking forward to it (I enjoyed the last ones).

Also, a question for Richard: do you sell rubble -- perhaps just stuff broken off during normal operations? I want to setup a cryptic fuge and would like to get a bunch of live rubble for it, any with sponges would be awesome, but any rubble would do.

You should post the videos on your site - diving for live rock, etc - on YouTube. It'd be much easier to watch (no downloading a video), you wouldn't need to pay for bandwidth, and you'd show up in YouTube searches (free advertising). Wins all around :)

I couldn't agree more. Plus you'll make money off ad revenue. In this day and age its a no brainer. There are so many tools you could be using to drive sales your way. At the very least it would be easier for the average person to gain more knowledge about what you do and offer.

I actually do web design, social media consulting, and other various services. Send me a PM if that's something you may be interested in!

Hi Richard (and anyone else) -

My tank is doing great with your live rock 2.0. I would say it's been in my tank about6 months now. This morning I found this little guy in my tank:
https://vimeo.com/150192137
Any idea what it is? It's small and boxy. I know the video isn't the greatest. It seems to have white claws with purple lines on them. I've never seen it before.

Thanks!

Likely a juvenile stone crab. Throw him in your sump and when his claws get big enough pull them off and have a scrumptious snack. ;) They'll grow back. 2 large claws go for about $15-20 right now at a restaurant.

so how about some updated FTS from all you fine folks who got some of this amazing rock.
great for documenting and giving me inspiration :P
about to order some now that my month long trip is over. woot woot

I posted this pic in another thread, but here you go. Tank is only about 60 days from when I got Shipment 2. Doing great so far!

Thanks!! One fell apart pretty quickly but the rest seem to be happy. Their feeding tubes are open all the time. I add some Coral Frenzy to the tank a couple times a week. Other than that, nothing special...

I think they like water that is a bit 'dirty' and not too sting of light.
Any kind of marine snow or real plankton. And good water flow so they get the stuff.

We aren't running "dirty" over here except a couple special 30 minute periods twice a week when the skimmer is off and Frenzy is on!
