Not yet. I guess he took a different route today. Either that or he said.. oh no.. im saving the big box for last! ;)

In the meantime, I have gone to Lowes to get all the things I need to make this an easy process in hanging these lights. It wont be easy with a 40" wide tank. I purchased some toggle bolts, created a wood frame around the tank to hold the light in place while it gets linked to the metal line, extra pieces of plywood to lay over the tank in case my support fails, plastic sheet to place over the tank, and just finished painting the top support bar where the light will hang to give it that extra grip instead of just the sheetrock.

As for the spots, I will let you know once i get the right combination in place. Im still not 100% satisfied with the fixtures I've chosen. Having the Giesemann Spectra will shed some light on what will fit right (aesthetics). Its 150w.

Who said Santa doesnt drive a UPS truck???

It's here and this fixture is gorgeous. I even have my latex gloves on so I wouldnt get any fingerprints or cause issues with the bulbs. :) I dont regret one bit choosing this light. Looks to be on target with it being proportionate to the 300g.

Is that it? Just one pic?

For real dude, what's this one picture deal? Step your game up Ed, we need a collage!

tanya, I wasnt planning on doing all spotlights. The spotlights are supplemental metal halides. Core lights are needed to penetrate from the top-down in as SPS grow towards the light its angled at. The stronger lights at the top are needed for growth while the spots are used for color enrichning. Since I am doing some SPS, I need to provide the intensity they need.

Is it weird that i just imagined that fixture dancing and singing

"I'm bringing sexy back"

Should I see a doctor?

Thanks everyone! Some of you are more excited than I am. LOL.

Well the light is up and it is so bright. I am very glad I didnt purchase the 400w setup. I would of been cooking my corals. I actually feel this is a bit brigther than I expected or what I mean.. brighter than I wanted. Im sure it will dim down after 2 wks of break in. Oh.. this is the magnetic version. The electronic version would of been a bit dimmer. hmmm.

An honest review for just having it up for 1 hr.. the fixture is sleek and I am in love with the design. The width gives it a proportionate look when you look at it from the side. Im not sure if I like the T5 output. They look underdriven. Maybe I need to change them out to some URI's? The fixture is very light compared to my last Aquamedic Spacelight. Overall Im very happy as this will give my corals that exrtra punch of penetration. I'll be adding the spotlights back in and im sure thats going to give it a different look. Cant wait to see it.

I still have to clean up all the wires and once I do, i will post some pics.
