It's official.....We are moving!

We just found out that we are moving. We bought a Title and Abstracting business in South Dakota. So this means that everything must go. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to do this but I am thinking about just having a day on a weekend that everyone can come over and get what they want. I will be putting a price list of what I have together over the next few days. Like I said...everything will be sold...except for the stand and hood as my dad made that for me as it is worth more to me than what it would sell for...unless someone wants to buy the whole set-up :)!

I will be in touch!

You're crazy BOB!!!!! I'm interested in the MJmods and your coral. (particularly the blue tort!)

I will be getting a price list out soon and I probably will not sell anything prior to my "open house" to make everything fair.

hmmm...I could probably make that work somehow....but then again...it sounds like a lot of work. I will have to think about that.

the iowa aquaria association is going to be having a swap at the blank park zoo on august 5th, pack up all the corals and get yourself a table, i bet you'll clear it out ;)

We have to be up there by August 1st. I really wanted to have all this gone before we list the house but that is not going to happen.

you should give priority to people who have taken the time and driven specifically to visit your tank to see it and buy frags with in the last 6 months :)

i sent a pm asking another related question...

if there is a line rather than a club meeting at your house, consider me in it.

Name the place and the date, and I'll be there with cash in hand.

Brad

p.s. Good luck with the move. The club wouldn't have been nearly as successful without you around the last few years. You will be missed.

Thanks for all the kind words!

We are moving to Madison SD. It is about 50 miles north west of Sioux Falls. It is a nice area with a lot of nice lakes and great hunting. We are taking over a business that my wife's Grandfather started in the early 40's and her aunt has been running for the past 10. She is ready to retire and we are young enough and ambitious enough to take it over!

I have a feeling that we will be swamped learning and working and I don't want to have to worry about a tank also. Once we get a handle on everything I will probably set one up...but that will probably be a few years :(

Sounds like a great opportunity for you and your family! Congrats! Very sorry to hear that you're leaving the hobby, but hopefully you'll be able to start up again once things get settled in SD!

I hope we'll be able to stop by and pick up some frags when you're ready to sell everything.

Anna :)

Jeeze this story sounds very familiar.

Bob thanks for your leadership and support of GIRS. Best of luck. Its hard to get the itch out for this hobby. I hope SD is everything you want.

Everyone should go to Bob's and buy stuff as he has taken meticulous care and and has great corals.
