Hello folks...

Yestergay I caught the mantis I have been hunting for some time that I got from either TBS or Gulf View, not sure which one for sure.

Anyways he has a really cool reddish brown colored body w/ some blue on his tail and orange legs.

I dont think I'll be keeping it so if someone in my area wants to take it off my hands that would be fine.

I would'nt mind a small frag of any kind in return...

Anyone interested????

Mantis sold...
thanks for all the replies...

I can hear another one "clicking" as I'm typing this so if I'm lucky I'll have anoter one for you boys soon.

Later.

How are you catching them? I want rid of one or a couple i can't find. I know somethings eating my peppermints.

I've tried various traps... to no avail.

Best way to do it if you ask me is to wait until he hides in a rock then ...

- *YANK* the rock out of the tank and put it in a bucket.
- Then squirt fresh RO water in the hole/cave he's hiding in and when he jumps out...
- put the rock back in the tank mantis free.

I will say that this is the most annoying way to do it especially if he is in a base rock.

Good luck...

BTW.. if you have yet to actually SEE the mantis & are unsure if you actually have one, try the bottle trap on the TBS webpage. I was able to catch 3-4 hairy crabs w/ this trap.

I have heard thumping from my tank, And three missing pepp shrimp. I have seen a white crab around that hitchiked along one of my rocks, But what would eat shrimp and not leave a trace of them?
