Jackson's 115 Gallon Custom Cube 32x32x26

Saw the video yesterday on YT. Love your tank dude...in 1 year it has progressed so well.

Is that an ORA Hawkins Echinata on the bottom left corner?

The tank looks amazing Richard:). Congratulations on the anniversary, may there be many more years of happy reefing for you both:celeb1:

Thank you very much. trying to keep things as simple as possible so I don't have any setbacks :)

Great looking tank!

Thanks

Thanks Sahin. I'm pretty happy the way things are turning out in this tank. I'm not sure if that coral is an ORA piece. I think it's a generic echinata that looks just like the hawkins. That corals wasn't moved since original placement so it is a good indicator of growth.

Nice video with a very impressive tank!
Not sure how you are going to pick which sps you plan to keep and which you want to sell, good luck anyway.
Also what is the sps at the 1:22 mark at the far right? Looks lime green with pink tips. Is it a SSC? I got the same one (at least it looks similar), and was sold to me as a SSC from someone at MR, and I don't think it is.

Wow, that video does a nice job of giving a good 3D view of the colonies :thumbsup:

I'm late to this thread but you have a stunningly beautiful tank. It's making me see the creative aquascaping possibilities with a cube tank. I like the way you have mounted the frags on the branch rock. It looks very natural. What do you use to mount your frags to get them to stick in some precarious positions? Also, what did you do when you expereinced the cyano outbreak? Was dosing the bacteria additives enough to conquer it?

Thanks Big E!!! :)

Thank you very much chooch. All the corals were mounted to the branch using IC gel glue. For the most part everything stayed in place and eventually encrusted. My purple tang broke loose the occasional frag though :/
When I experience cyano around the 10 week mark, I dosed special blend bacteria, following instructions on bottle. I still continue the maintenance dose today and haven't see cyano since.

Just wanted to say you have an exceptional tank.

Maybe I missed it but what T5's are you using in the Giessman?

Thanks MisterP. I'm using 3 KZ blues, and 1 KZ fiji purple.

Your colors are amazing. What bulbs are you using MH and T5?

Thank you. Halide is a 400w radium, T5's 3 KZ blues, and 1 KZ fiji purple, and 2 blue LED reefbrites.

Nice growth Richard did you end up putting the new light fixture back

Thanks. I didn't put the Giesemann back over the tank yet, but I will. I've just been busy with work so I get lazy :)

Richard your tank looks awesome, great job! You make me want to get some Reefbrites.

Thanks Joe. There is a much added pop from the reefbrites that is very noticeable even when my halides and t5 are on. I think it's a worthwhile addition.

Hey Rich,
The tank is so amazing that I have to come back and take a look at it at least once a week.
Great job!!!
Vic
