Yesterday i made a small tour whit some Dutch friends,we visit Triton again and at the end two very nice private reeftanks in Belgium nearby my place.

Take a look and enyoy, the last tank is running now one year whit the AI sol above it and it is looking very good.

Thanks a lot Luc! Your video is much nicer than mine, but in case anyone is also interested to see your tank, it is featured in my small video. I apologise for the quality, I took it with my iPhone but I tried to make something nice out of it :)

Thank you for sharing the awesome videos of your tank as well as others. Where can I learn more about the tanks in the Belgium tour video? I am sure they were TOTM on some forum, just beautiful. The first tank, the blue background has two sheets of something? What are the materials exactly? Luc, thanks for your contibution to this great hobby.

Hi Thanks, there is no more info about this thanks on the net, they are privat and the owners don't bring time on the forums.

The material of the sheets is some kind of plastic,i think PE that is painted blue whit some white in it,ha can change this whit some black also.

I am just back home now from 3 days in the UK,i have visit some goods friend there are we made off course a good reef trip ,seen a lot of tanks and some good store's,as soon i have some time i make a small video off it.

Also very bad news, the day before the trip i lost around 80 % off my acropora's,they all died in one day.

What exactly happend i will never now i gues, bacterial, pollution, poisin,i don't now,all the others corals like lps and stylo's,birdnest and the fishes have nothing, only the 100 % acropora's died.

I have been thinking about giving it up but i must go on because my fish are still alive so i can't keep them in an empty tank whitout sps corals

I now will wait some time before i start collecting again, first some good waterchanges and leave the tank sometime.

Luc,

It was very nice to see you again, thanks for visiting.

I was mortified to hear about your coral losses, but you are an old hand at reefkeeping and, this hobby can be wicked sometimes with no rational to be had. I am sure you will bounce back and acroporas will thrive again in your reef aquarium.

After speaking with you I am also at a loss to understand why only acroporas died - perhaps some virus? Who knows?

I hope the frags I gave you do well in your aquarium.

Please feel free to visit me again next time you're in the UK.

Regards,

Tony

Luc

Sorry to hear about your losses. I know you will bounce right back.
Looking forward to seeing one of the best tanks around.

WHAT! Such bad news but I am so happy to hear you are not giving up! I am getting back into the hobby again after a couple year layoff and your system, pictures and videos are one of the reasons I am getting back in again! There are times that challenge us all in this wonderful/frustrating hobby but true dedication pays off and I for one hope you can recoup and come back stronger than before. Hang in there for many of us here on RC are standing behind you!

Oh dear - this is terrible news Luc.
Did you lose all SPS in the frag tanks as well?
If you need any frags, please let us know, will be glad to ship you some over!

I'm very sorry to hear this Luc, your tank inspired me to build mine, I hope you will undercover the cause of your acropora loss so all of us can learn from this, onward and upward! :)

Luc, I am so very sad to hear your tragic news. I certainly hope that can find the cause. I look forward to seeing your system rebuilt and again, a future TOM.

This would have to be one of the strangest and swiftest selective mass coral deaths in reef keeping history.
Were there really no signs before this happened?

Something like this is certain to bring anyone down, but I'm sure you'll get right back up again.
Don't let this hit a permanent dent for the passion you have.
