I knew where to find it. I was there earlier in the day before the real fun began. I just had to get caught up

Dude, rockscaping is a pain the rear!!!! I just don't have the eye for it I guess. It may be a long night just trying to put the rock where I want it.:(

Not certain that this is how it will stay, so I'll wait before I break out the epoxy. Opinions?

What do you guys think about the branch rock arch on the left side? Keep it? Remove it and make it a true valley?
I had it, and it happened to fit very well in that space, so I left it for now. I don't know. My head hurts and my hands are all cut up and ****ed from getting SW into the open cuts.

its probably just me but i'm not feeling it:(

So Davey, pull those rocks altogether, or do you see somewhere they should go?

Disclaimer: Anyone who gives me their opinions understands that I may completely disregard said opinions and do whatever the heck I so choose! Just so that's clear and there's no hard feelings!!!

Well...since you said that...I think you are a much better plumber. :D

Constructive criticism part: You did a great job of covering the drains/returns and keeping the bottom clear...but I agree with KDB. It looks a little haphazard. The left island looks really good, but the branch rock doesn't fit. As you move towards the middle it is a little messy/crowded when compared to the huge hole on the left under the branch rock. The outside far right is a good start, until it hits the middle portion and kinda gets lost. It looks like you had a plan on the left, started on the right, then got frustrated and tossed the stuff in the middle.

Ok...enough of that negative nancy stuff...positive Poletti ideas. Maybe do a three island thing with connecting arches, along the lines of the left side. Smaller on the sides, larger in the middle. Offset the islands and you could create a straight shot valley lengthwise for the tangs. The piece supporting the branch looks flat and would make a great topper and give plenty of space for the things that need the highest light. Or do two main islands, and use the spaghetti and branch together somehow on the side if you need to keep stuff separate.

Just make a plan on what you want, then try and come close.

Wait...I don't have a tank. Mark, can I even comment or is that out of bounds?

Thanks JJ. I'm happy with the rocks on the left, especially with how well they fit together. I also kind of like the rocks on the right. It's the branch rock and the rock in the top center that's got me frustrated. I may try and rework things a bit tonight.
The piece supporting the branch is relatively flat and would make a great bench rock. I kept trying to work it in that way, but was having a tough time. Maybe I'll try that top center rock, or the branch rock as a support, where that flat rock is now, and use the flat rock as a topper joining that new support rock and the large, gnarly branch rock in the middle.

Any other opinions or suggestions?

I'll see if I can swing by tonight after work. I am sure that there is more depth than the pictures show ;)

Jeremy - I'm more of an island/valley kinda guy, so I can't really comment on your scape - as long as you like it is what's important :)

BTW, What's so great about Bubble Kings? :D :lol2:

 What do I know? I don't own one anymore.:(

Interesteding design in your aquascaping. Curious to see how it looks when filled with some corals. Im with terry, I dig the valleys and sparse islands.
