Am I just bringing over 2 50lb bags of mag flake and some seed sand? Am I missing something?

That's all I can think of at the moment, but I haven't had much time to think today so I'm a little rustier than normal.:D

JT,
I thought the house was officially off the market for at least 1 yr?

Yeah, then my wife did a 180 the next day. She was convincing me to take it off the market for so long, when I finally caved, whe changed her mind!!!! Sooooo, still on the market, but not budging on the price, which is pretty much like taking it off in today's market. It would be nice to free up the equity in the house, and get into something a bit easier to afford, but we really like our house and aren't in a hurry to move. Who knows.

All I can say is WOW. I will let Jeremy update his own thread, but there was definitely some progress made today :)

Yup :D

Jeremy, your tank is going to be SICK!!!!!

You guys are simply AWESOME! I'll get to the update in a few, once I get the pics of todays progress uploaded. Picked up a few parts from Lowes, but will definitely need to make a run for more plumbing parts. Thanks for the help Mark, Tim and Jim. Couldn't have done it without you.

Alright, the bulk uploader took awhile, but here goes. As I already mentioned, Mark, Tim, and Jim came over today for a little family get together/BBQ/Tank moving party.
First, we had to move the tank off of the stand and get it out of the way for a little while:

I think our photographer felt too much pity for us as we moved the tank itself. She stopped taking pics to give us a hand as we manuevered the tank through the doorway. Just pics of us actually placing it on the stand:

Sliding it back into place:

Congrats, Jeremy! Beautiful home and neighborhood. I can see why you're not in a rush to sell :)

That's a great location for your tank!

Loving the flip-flop collection :D

Setback #1 was discovered as I had intended to replace the Sch 80 Hayward 2" bulkheads with what turned out to be a set of Sch 40 bulkheads designed to handle the flush mounted screens. Wasn't gonna work, as the holes drilled in the tank were simply too large to use a Sch 40. What to do? Well, Mark worked a little magic with a pair of snips and a dremel and modded the screens fit onto the Hayward bulkheads.
Mark hammin' it up for the camera:

While not a good picture do to the glare, you can see how the screens fit over the bulkheads and sit nearly flush against the back wall of the tank:

All I can say is that is one sexy piece of equipment. I really liked what you have to say earlier about your comparison between your BK and this beast.

A nifty idea that my wife and I came up with was to put a rubber backed mat under the stand. 2 reasons for this. 1 was to help prevent moisture from getting underneath the stand, and 2 was to help slide the tank and stand when I finally finish the plumbing and put it into its final position without destroying the wood floor. As you can see by the pic below, I put the mat face down, so the carpet portion was on the wood floor to facilitate its easy, non marring movement.

And, the Grand Finale for this evening:

And a side view. You can see that we put the returns on and added some of the sand:
