One thing i wish i didnt do was i put a couple zoos on my rock and they have spread all over the rock taking up SPS real estate. So when i break this tank down i will be scrubbing them off.

Yeah, my skills at photography are pretty weak And a lot of my corals are brown. Thats why I don't like posting pictures. I need time to figure this whole thing out.

When you see the tank, you'll see I have only have one or two sps corals down by the zoos.

So what is your coral plan?

Garden reef or SPS dominant?


I was going with a few LPS and zoas but mainly SPS dominated , but now I want almost all of my zoas out and all of my LPS out to another tank.

So I think I am going in a SPS only direction with mine now, just as Mark said would happen LOL.

I'm going sps dominant. There will be some scattered colonies of zoos towards the bottom, but the entire upper portion of the rock work will go to sps. Mainly sticks, but there will be monti's too. Also clams. Right now there is about 18 sps frags in there with 5 small zoo colonies.

I really like the nice chalices that Tim and Mark have going, and as my skill level advances, I hope to keep some of those as well.

Basically SPS mainly, with clams, zoos and hopefully chalices.

What is the next big purchase for the tank?

I want Vortechs for mine.

But I keep buying stuff for my Ducati instead of those.

The Frikin exhaust alone was 1200 bucks and that is just mufflers and a new ecu and airfilter!!!

Thanks Chris. Hopefully it will be. Honestly, I'm not really happy with the way things are going with the tank. I'm making some adjustments, but I really need to focus on getting whatever is wrong, fixed.

Next big things are CA RX, sand in the display, VHO's and then new MH ballasts. Long way to go

I'm gonna grab Jeremy's galaxy's. I want the M80's, but its a good deal for great ballasts. If I don't like them, I can sell them.

I'll still go for the radiums, but they won't be the same.

Cool, I have never seen the Radiums on electronics.

I think I've seen them over at Jeremy's. They are quite a bit dimmer than when run on an M80.

Honestly, up until last night I was really favoring the M80, but a good deal came up and I'm sure I can sell them for what I paid if I don't like them.

Tim runs electronics, but Jeremy and Mark but opted for the HQI. I'll just have to wait and see

BTW, you will need to get different male adapters as SLS has their own,

Why would you have extra one? You running HQI in the garage now?
