I just subscribed to this thread and was looking through the pages. what are the dimensions of the Display Tank? How much of a front lip is there for the glass to be silicon-ed too? i know pictures don't do justice to big tanks but it only looks like a few inches.... i love this build.

filled all the screw holes, pc 11 glued the sumps and will start the fiberglassing tomorrow.

I just subscribed to this thread and was looking through the pages. what are the dimensions of the Display Tank? How much of a front lip is there for the glass to be silicon-ed too? i know pictures don't do justice to big tanks but it only looks like a few inches.... i love this build.

its three inches from the bottom outside of the tanks....so 2 1/4 for the glass to silicone too.

are you going to use 45deg cut 2 x 4's in the corners?
they will strengthen the whole thing tremendously
just throwing that out there.

its looking good so far.

is the brace in the front there just to support the opening an prevent it from sagging until you get the whole thing epoxied?

i am not doing the 45deg. boards, i am using extra fiberglass instead.
yes the center 2x4 is just there until the glass is in. Keeps everything from bowing...which is also why i made sure everything is always level and square during the build.
