after talking with the guys at profilux, im going to use a 72" constellation fixture until early next year. At that time the new T5 fixtures from profilux will be available, and ill be getting 4 of them, and have the whole lighting system dimmable with all the special effects.

I talked to the guy at profilux, and they said they will be releasing the details about units mid november, and they would be available in January.

Thats all the details i got, other than they are in 36" and 48", thats about all i know.

Ive been fortunate to have a LFS that has brought in probably 3000 colonies in the last few years, so ive had a ton to sift through and find the real gems.

Only lost 1 colony/frag in 2 1/2 years...knock on wood, they will flourish in the new, better system.

well its coming together VERY slowly, but its at least headed in the right direction.

I just picked up about 800 lbs of rock for the display and sump. All is tonga branch, figi, marshall island, etc...no base rock.

pieces range from rubble to about 15-18" across. Some really nice pieces.

I am hoping to get the stand built in a week or so. Just waiting for the 15" of snow that recently dropped on us to melt a bit.

What are your water parameters?
What type of RO unit are you using?
What type of lighting do you have?

The reason why I'm asking is because I'm also very interested in growing Acans.

Your ACANS are just waaaaaaayyyyyy off the chain !!!!

Do you sell small colonies?

My tank params are a little off at the moment.

calcium is at 375
ALK - steady at 9 dkh
mag 1350
ph 8.15-8.3

TDS = 2 or less

Lighting is 8 bulb TEK T5 fixture with aqua science bulbs

I sell frags from time to time, but never really sell colonies.

I might consider selling some soon to help finish the tank build, but ive collected these to be a river flowing at the bottom of the tank, entirely of acans....maybe anyways...

My Params are very similiar with the exception of my Calcium. I'm a little high at the moment at 540.
