Junior's Reef

I hear ya!

But I think another Emperor would be a good fit.

Before anyone gets the wrong impression....
The regal was in QT w copper and eating pellet before being acclimated and introduced.
It just was too damned timid to deal with my established fishes.
I thought about removing my tangs beforehand but I've grown quite fond of everybody.

I don't think anyone would question you, it appears like you know what you're doing
It's a shame that happened it was a beautiful angel. Another emperor would be awesome, Junior JR.

I figured the fish was in the best of health before you introduced him to your tank.

You're not one to do things half@$$ed.....

But I'm not at all surprised to see that the Tangs bullied it.

IME, Regals take right about a year in captivity to get fully acclimated and become comfortable enough to wade into the fray and eat aggressively.

I would almost always suggest adding a Regal first to any set up just to give it the best possible chance.

If it was eating pellets, you had a good one, they are just too timid initially to survive boisterous tankmates.

I dont blame you for not wanting to get rid of any of your fish, you've had them all for quite awhile.

An adult Emperor should do fine, I just wonder about the Tangs getting nasty without one for a bit.....

day #2 up and running

For those unaware, this is the design winner currently at the top of the BUILD MY LED forum on RC.(Kinda cutting edge.)
I'm using the Solunar (controller) profile #3 MID DAY BURST to ramp up and down.
It's extremely cool.
