Karen and Rufus' Captive Bred Baby Bandits

Well today was the big day! They moved into my main reef tank, well the refugium of my main reef tank. It's a 50g tank plumbed into my main system. Sorry about the dirty acrylic. I'll let them grow out alone in peace and quiet until they're large enough to compete with their new tank mates which you'll see at the end ;)

Thanks again Wayne! Very, very cool!

My stocking guesses from the videos:

Personatus trio, Bandit pair

C. earlie trio, A. feminus pair

C. claire single, M. lapillus single

and a gem tang?

Epic! What kind of wrasses do you have in there?

Poomba was spot on. I've got a bunch of different wrasses in all of my tank. I guess you can say I'm a wrasse and angel guy. I'm starting to appreciate butterflies more though.

Thanks everyone else :)

If you decide you are going to specialize in butterflies and wrasses, let me know. I'll be happy to help find homes for some fish including those Bandits.

Any updates Wayne? How are the babies doing?

Hey Mike, they're doing quite well, thanks for asking. They've definitely settled into their home and have learned that when they see me, it's generally time to eat, so they'll swim up to the surface.

Like all babies, they're quite high maintenance and I feed them like 4 or 5 times a day but I love to watch them eat so it's a win-win!

Sorry again for the dirty acrylic, but I decided not to clean it. I figured they probably like the additional privacy.

Here are a couple of videos, the last one I just shot today:

So cool Wayne! What a perfect home for them until they get large enough for your main tank. Thanks for posting, always enjoy seeing those little guys

Great video Wayne, they look awesome! Such little girls! Has Karen mentioned when she will try again on another go for the Bandits?

Thanks guys. These little gals' parents are in the same tank as the mama and papa GP's. So I think Karen tries to collect the eggs during the specific moon phase. I guess this little clutch was the first time they've made it this far.

I'm sure she'll update her website with each success. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed with Faith and Fabio.
