Kessil A360WE

I'm joining the club as well... Just got one a360we yesterday and absolutely love the look so far. I have it on one end of the tank, another small led in the middle (not Kessil) and a t5 at the other end. Used to have all t5s. I do not do SPS. Have to get at least 2 more but didn't want the full commitment till we tried it. Well the whole family loves it! We have an open top hood and have it hanging from the ceiling. (This is on my 220g)

Hey..after reading about the Kessil's and their manufacturing process and location in the US, I am heavily considering this purchase. I need something quiet, and the ability to adjust spectrum. I like that these work well with Apex controllers. And the small form factor is nice because it will allow more viewable area on my future rimless tank.

Does anyone have any pictures of this light over a 3' long tank?

The lights are mounted using the Kessil gooses neck. If you get the 90o adapted you get more mounting flexibility.

I'd like to keep the Kessil closer to the surface. The way you have yours installed looks like the best option for what I want to do, unless I suspend.

I was at an LFS today, and saw a custom Kessil mounted on an IM Nuvo 30..the power and control cords ran through it and were concealed. It had clamps on the tank side, and on the fixture side that were CNC'd aluminum. It looked pretty trick...damn I wish I remembered the name.

Have two of these to light my 55g and I love them. Dont have much to compare them to but the corals seem to love them :)

If your going for an extra clean look as many Kessil owners are this is really nice because it allows you to hide the cords within the tubing.

Welcome to the Club! What kind of coral do you have? How are they responding? Pictures?

Thanks

Here is a shot of my kessils over my Frag Tank. My Frogspawn, torches and flowerpots ares all opened up as if I put MH over my tank again. I've use other LED units and none of them made them pop and respond like these lights.

Went back to my LFS and snapped a couple pics. This is a CAD Lights Artisan Series 45g (dimensions are 36" x 24" x 12"), lit by a single Kessil A360WE w/custom clamp mount. I'm not sure what the intensity or hue settings were. My iPhone takes pics wierd, but these are really close to what it looks like in person. In real life, it's a bit less blue, if you can imagine.

I am mounting them in a canopy. I have the mounts in now and will be adding the lights in the morning and turning them on. Right now I have one mounted dead center of the tank then the outside ones 18" from the center one. The leaves about 18" to the side glass from each out one. That should work out well with my aquascapimg also. Of course once I see them I may adjust but for now that is the plan.

After watching a couple of videos on these lights as well as reading this thread, I'm really considering these lights for my 180 also. I'd love to know how three of them end up doing on your tank.
