I'm at 25% max intensity and 40% color at the height of my cycle. I have an 18in cube rimless tank. I just slightly burned my purple stylphora. Back to the shade you go :lol:

No definitely appreciate it that thats y im here and asking. I just wasnt sure if I would have enough spread just using the kessil goose neck. I know some people are hanging them off the wall. I was thinking the 360we might be cutting it close with a 3ft tank. But then I figured if or when I got my shallow 80 since it was 4ft I. Could just buy one other 360we and should be able to use one for each 2ft section. Just figure if I do try any sps that I would just have to put it up high and ttry and have them some what centered under one of the lights.

Does that sound right

Sorry your purple stylphora got burned a bit. No sps for me yet but they will be high on my wish list when I get there. Still a reference point for others . Thanks for the info.

Thanks for that reply. Those two corals (acan and neon trumpet)are the ones I'm stuggling with to find the right light to make them happy. Yours look in great health where you have them so if they keep that look you have most likely found it. What settings are you at?

Beautifull tank by the way .Everything looks real nice!

Thanks but I'm in acro counseling now. I can't lie though after close to a month some acros did start turning brown but slowly just started seeing color coming back. I will know more in the next 3 - 6 months. I might have to add more just for safety.
 
I have a cadlights 34g mini ii tank, DT is 30X11X16, just finished cycling a week ago and planning to keep softies zoas and some easy sps if there one, what kessil lights config to go? #1 360 in the middle or #2 160we 12-15 inches apart in the center?
 
Awesome thread. I have been searching and no one really post much about kessil etc, so this is great.

I currently run a 12 gallon AIO with a Kessil A360W.

Lighting Schedule:

Color/Intensity

9:00am - 0/5
1:00pm - 40/65
3:00pm - 60/75
5:00pm - 40/65
9:00pm - 0/0

I would suggest two 160WEs but not that far apart as they have an 24" diameter spread but it's more like 18 x 18 spread.

I almost run my schedule the same way except my color and intensity are slightly higher. Nice tank.

I'm running a 36x18x12 and have two A350w over it. I don't think two 160's would be enough for a 40 breeder
