large carpet anemone

ok i have a large green carpet anemone that i nat to remove from my tank, how do it do it? theres about 3" of sand that hes dug thru and stuck to the bottom i think!

any suggestions?

clear out the sand around where hes attached and you can stick your fingernail under the edge and slowly peel his foot off of the bottom

And be very very very careful. It is easy to damage the foot while doing that. Just take your time and do not rush things at all. if it seems like it isn't going to release, stop and try again in a bit. Also would suggest wearing gloves, that why the oral disc/tentacles won't stick to you as much.
