Okay so I am pretty new to saltwater....

I setup this 220 gallon tank maybe 3 weeks ago.
It came with a large sea hair (4" long maybe 2.5" diameter).
Well my carpet looked Awesome today (I thought it was because I target fed him some krill last night... Started looking around to find my sea hair gone... Then the carpet started turning its stomach inside out... Here are the pics...

Anyone ever heard of this? And yes I am positive it was the sea hair I pulled him out and looked at it....

S. haddoni can be quite opportunistic...mine eat whatever they catch, falls, or blunders into them. Piles of empty large trochus snails litter their bases.

Sea Hares are definitely toxic. I would keep an eye on things for a few days.

Haddoni will definitely eat everything and anything....sometimes not a good thing!! :p

"Sea Hares" aren't particularly toxic.
Perhaps they're being confused with the more toxic "Sea Apples" here.

Both sea hares and sea apples are toxic.
