that looks amazing...lovely work.
The only problem I can forsee is the arguments over who gets to sit on a stool when you have company.

I got rear ended by an F250 so tank updates have slowed to a crawl the last few weeks. I've been out of commission with two herniated disks in my neck. this weekend my brother came over and we installed the lights. 3x 250w hqi radiums with large lumen bright reflectors, and 4x 54w ati blue + with tek reflectors and an ice cap 660.

the tank is still showing 1.0 nitrites so hopefully it's on the final stage of the cycle. also, have some live stock that's been in qt for the last 3 weeks. 4 bartletts anthias, one large sunburst, royal gramma, and a blue hippo.

not the best pics...need to clean the glass

Wow! I just spent a while reading though this tread, and let me tell you this tank is BEAUTIFUL! Yah, Fords are monsters. (My mom has the Expedition, got rear ended without a scratch and the car that hit her, let's just say it wasn't pretty.) Hope you recover soon!

finally, a tank update....the tank finally cycled! after almost a two month qt with two treatments of prazi and a long time with copper all the fish showed no signs of any disease so i added them to the tank. the next morning everyone looked fine but i noticed a spot of ich on my blue hippo! argh! i don't even know how it's possible. anyway, catching the fish will be impossible and since i dont have a clean up crew or any corals yet, i've decided to drop the salinity and hypo the entire system. so 250+ gallons of fresh water later and i'm still at 1.016. i have a lot more water than i realized! lol. other than that and a small bacterial bloom (which i blame to not feeding enough during the cycle), everything else is coming along great. so i guess no corals for a while, i figure with the hypo i can still add fish though.

so......new arrivals!

I dont know if I would have bothered reducing the SG on the whole tank. The whitespot on the regal could have just appeared from the stress of being moved from one tank to the other, they seem to come out in outbreaks if someone sneezes too close to the tank!
Chances are if it was eating and behaving OK it would have shaken it off.
Having said that I wouldnt introduce any new fish.
Are you running a UV?

if its just a small bit of ich i'd just keep my eye on it. my understanding is you'll never get rid of it completely esp with tangs, they say keep the fish and water healthy and it should go away on its own. it probably showed due to the stress of moving the fish from qt to the display. of course i would probably hold off adding any fish to the DT until you feel comfortable.

edit: lol, what d3hree said :P:P didn't see his post for somer reason

thanks guys.

it's been a while...figured i'd update with a video. it shows the depth a little better than pics and i'm still trying to get a hang of the new camera.

still stocking with fish. current list: sm Achilles tang, kole, blue hippo, 4 bartletts anthias, lg royal gramma basslet, helfrichi firefish (the other 2 didn't make it so i have two more coming), lg sunburst anthias, and a 4.5" supermale flame wrasse (still hiding). and more on the way ;)
