I just got hold of Ken thru PMs (I am also from Taiwan :spin2. With his permission, I will try my best to translate and answer the question here for him.
First, he would like to apology not being able to answer or reply the questions. He knows very limited English, but he is an expert in LED. (He is a LED RD engineer and has been working in Reef LED for 5 years in Taiwan)
The LED fixture in his tank is designed for high light sps (3rd generation LED, 130 Lux/W).
I am waiting for Ken to give me more detail of his LEDs.
To my understanding, the LED fixture is made by a LED company he works in Taiwan. There are 400 x 3W LEDs, 200 white and 200 blue with total 1200W. It is not a DIY product. They are still testing the fixture and the market.
Ken sent me some pictures:
They use Osram LX series LEDs, the 3rd generation LED, which can produce 130 Lux per watt. Similar to CREE R3 series. (The first generation LEDs procude 87 Lux/W)
