LED Fixture

LED Fixture

Just found this thread, & also would like to know if these fixtures will be available in Canada? Currently there is a monopoly, & you know what happens with monopolies = HIGH PRICES!!!:fun5:

Awesome colors and growth pics look good. I'm glad I found this as I am in the midst of building a new 75g and was thinking of going with a DIY LED fixture. Now I am definitely going with LED's.

They use Osram LX series LEDs, the 3rd generation LED, which can produce 130 Lux per watt. Similar to CREE R3 series. (The first generation LEDs procude 87 Lux/W)

So where does one find these CREE R3 series??

You guys need to get out more... :D
RC's DIY forum has dozens of DIY LED builds. One thread alone, has split 3 times with almost 4,000 contributions.

I just started following that thread a couple of days ago. It's has all the info anyone could imagine on DIY LED's, but it's so huge and there's so much info that it's easy for a new guy like me to get lost in. TheFishMan65 just updated his summery on pg 171.

Amazing tanks and great camera work. Could you please PM me the details or link for the LED company you are using? What lens are you using with your Nikon D70? Many thanks.
