I have been working on my led build for my Solana 34 cube, I have been busy building the power box. Resistors, and fuses for protection.
I am hoping to have this operational soon using my reef angel reef controller.
Pictures.
Started with these components.

Purchased the parts needed to hang the leds above the tank.

outdoor stake in the ground hanging flower pot holder.

Lamp shade,

cable wire,

I will build it tomorrow and get the leds hanging. mount the drivers to the stand, and set up the reef angel.

I'd stick with the soda cans. They give it a nice retro look.

Great DIY thread. Just out of curiosity, why did you need to test with a battery rather than full AC?

The battery is just providing a DC signal to control the drivers. His controller will provide that function once it's integrated.

Hanging is complete. just need to attach drivers to the stand, cable tie the cables to the lamp mount. perform programming for the lights.

are these cree or philips LEDs? I just added t5 to my LED's, not sure it was worth it. I havn't found anything that I like better than a quality diy LED light, on the controllers, they're awsome. The smooth dimming with independent channels causes shifting color throughout the day which is really cool!

+1

the stake you are using looks like a shepards hook that my wife uses to hang hummingbird feeders

It is sold to hold flower pots, but we do have one in the back yard that is holding our bird feeder too hahaha. I did this to keep it nice looking ya know. I wanted to use something better then the standard conduit, or square tubing.

Hunter - There you go again ruining my fun. I had M600 believing I was running my LEDs from AAA batteries. He thought the 9V Adam was using was there to recreate the intensity of the sun.

Adam - Great looking build. I really like the way you put it all together. JP

Thanks Jeff, All parameters are in spec. everything is 0. I have some clean up crew in there now. I plan to put 10 more snails and hermits. Then next week sometime I will buy a few small fish to acclimate. then about 2 weeks I will get my clowns and Anemone back. and some Zoanthids.
