LeeMar starfire 290 mixed reef build

Some new shots of the tank. Taken with my iphone. For some reason it gets the best color of all my camera's.

Side view. I happen to feel the clove polps are beautiful. I know there are some folks that don't like them.

Was playin in the tank today and took some top down shots with my iphone. Was surprised to get some decent shots.

Green Torte and "Rasberry Lemonade

Blue Tenuis

The little fuzzy acro on the right was just this tiny brown fuzzy stick, but we loved how fuzzy it was. Now it is quite stunning with amazing color to the body. It had no color at all when we got it, so it has been fun watching the colors come in.

cool little green pocillipora

Orange spongode, yellow / brown fuzzy acro and blue polyped monti

Cali Torte being engulfed by a Seasons Greetings Monti. I'll be saving the Torte tomorrow. (ie, moving it)

Sunset monti, green torte, green tenuis, blue birdsnest

Green Tenuis, Green torte, blue birdsnest, setosa

got a nice shot of the RBTA

I apologize if you have addressed this as I have thumbed through your thread but haven't read it completely yet.
I noticed in the first pics of the tank the holes drilled in the eurobracing and thought you might be intending to use a closed loop for flow. In the recent pics I can't see any utilization of these holes. What are they there for?
And, congrats on a beautiful build with amazingly healthy livestock!!

Great video! How did you decide to video? Had it already done the spawn before you captured this?

I just got lucky that I was home and noticed it was spawning, so I grabbed the camera. The spawn lasted about 40 minutes, so it wasn't difficult to get it on video.

Thanks, glad you like the tank.

Yup, the eurobracing has holes...........I use them for cord management, however a closed loop would be very easy with them. I have 6 Tunze 6105's for flow, no closed loop.

Great Tank and project. I am happy for your success. How do you get the Acros and Birdnest to grow and reach the way that they do, heavy or slow water flow? I am a certified Acro and birdnest killer, or worse I make them brown.

Kris,
Your tank turns out to be more and more beuatiful each day, but what really fascinates me is your personal joy of everything working and when something is done nicely, that`s the reason we`re all doing it right? :)
also, are you a climber? perfect combination, marine tank and mountaineering for me too lol
fingers crossed
michael
