Thanks, that was the concept of the Formosa Forest and I will also use it on my Lagoon, only with tables :)

I cant wait for this to take off Leo! Are you going to transfer your other fish fromthe last tank, or start with a new selection?

Some fish will be transferred to the new tank. The school of Apogons will be transferred and expanded.
The Atlantic Blue tang and The Convict tang will also be transferred, the Yellow tang will be sold.

Because of the large areas of open sand I will look into some species for that biotope.

High on the list are several species of Apogon and an Acanthurus Guttatus.

The Acropora will all be sold. I will only keep my montipora and LPS species for some variety. With the funds I will buy new Tabling Acropora.

Nice, so youve decided to go sand afterall. Kinda curious how that'll turn out being so shallow with 12000 gph and a wavebox lol.

It is still a maybe ;) But I'm thinking about it because I will have large open areas and sand will look better in that case.

I will start BB anyway because of the shedding of the LR. I will tweak the flow then. Will see after that if it is even possible to add sand ;)

Hey leo, what about a false sand bed? I used some sand, along with a laquer resin. I used it inside my tank, and unfortunately it turned green, because it became live. I think if it is put on the outside of the tank, under the glass, it should stay white, and look like sand. We also have plasti-kote "stone touch" paint over here. It looks just like sand. Spraying that on the bottom outside could be an option too......

Either way, Im curious to see what you choose, should look nice either way =)

That is a good idea Joe. I already thought of paining the bottom of the tank white. This will look better and also reflect the light.
I will reseach if the "stone-touch" paint is available in Europe.

But like many decisions, you can make them the best when you see it for real. I can always add a bit of sand ;)

Thanks for the link Joe! Nice to hear my ideas has inspired you :) But don't blame me if you get regrets j/k ;)
Can you PM me a link or photo of the new aquascape when you have it, I'm curious about the result.

Morino, thank you!

Leonardo

Yeah, I'll update my build thread right now, after I take some pics. Its not going to be anywhere near the magnitude of your build, but the tank looks cleaner and more open now. I'll PM you in a few minutes...
