I think its the following, cant remember exactly, but heres my best try:

ATI Blue Plus
Aquascience Duo
KZ Fiji Purple
Aquascience Special
Blue Plus
ATI Pro Color
Blue Plus
UV Aquasun
Aquascience Special
Fiji Purple
ATI Aquablue Special
Blue Plus

The Duos, and aquascience bulbs are kinda weird in there K ratings....so the Special is supposedly 15k (or so it says on the bulb), but it is pure white, grim reefer described it as true 10k. The Duo is supposedly in between the special and actinic...but it is mostly white, with a very slight baby blue tint (similar to how the Fiji purple is mostly white, with a slight lavender tint, except with baby blue for the duo). I thought the Duo would be like a blue plus, but it is very different...

Chrissreef - Chicago does have some good shops, but they are very different than LA's shops...all our good ones are in some basement in some guy's house where he has set up a bunch of tanks and you have to call to see if theyll be there because there are no official hours. [/B]

My SPS guy has his own shop.... And there arent any hours lol. Its appointment only, and the guy is so hard to get a hold of its crazy. Hed probably save money if he did it out of his basement, and didnt pay rent for an ocean front LFS.

Jflip - just notice your occupation...was it blocked when you started working? ;)

So updates, not much to show right now...the granite bar is being installed on Monday, and the tile guy should be coming to do the walls shortly thereafter.

In the meantime, I entered the photo below in Reef Hobbyist Magazine's aquascape photo contest and was just notified I'm in the top 3 :) (not sure what place yet) RHM is available for free at many LFS, so pick up the July issue and check out my tank. Its also online at reefhobbyistmagazine.com

Unfortunately it has always beeen blocked. All we can view at work are BMW related sites. Which is cool, but Id like to mix it up a little. Tank is looking awesome.. seems like you have a nice view from your place too... A higher up one at least.

Very cool! I just went and checked out the pics and I have to say that your's looks the best.

I have to admit that the competition was not so stiff :) But hey, its cool none-the-less...and the magazine is really cool, the monthly article by Tyree is pretty interesting.

Congratulations!! Top 3 and you are just getting this baby going! You tank is going to really kick butt when you get done... if "done" is even possible.

I do like how you've done the aquascaping. Lots of open space...much like my own.

While you can get something pretty much faster by crowding the tank with rock and small corals...I think you get something really special if you leave more space and wait for the the coral to grow into it.

A couple pics of new inhabitants, my powder blue (the tang I've always wanted), a couple of my bartlett's anthias, and a chalice I scored at an LFS.

That PBT looks awesome. I cant find a nice looking one anywhere around here. Theyre all blotchy when I find them. Thats the reason I upgraded, was for a Powder blue. How big are those anthias, BTW? Ive always been tempted to order them online, but saw them for the first time in person a couple weeks ago. They were massive, though they were the squarebacks.

The chalice was a sweet score, not cheap, but not too expensive either (especially for what I see chalices going for these days).

The bartletts anthias are on the smaller side, around 2.5". I think they are generally smaller than the square spots. Isn't it funny how people not in the hobby always ask if you have big fish, but then when you are in the hobby, you want them as small as you can get.

Thanks all. The granite bar is being being installed tomorrow. Then I just have to pick out some tile. Also thinking of heading to Old Town and picking up a couple more Bartlett's the three I have seem to have formed a nice harem. They have a cave they retreat to together and usually the male will come out first, scope things out, and then the two females will follow.

I bet the tank is getting to look even better with the granite next to it. Seems things are progressing nicely.
