my 2 yr old has named our sole clown fish "Memo" yes... after the movie. with her just learning to talk it comes out a Memo rather than Nemo... it was so cute that it stuck
I usually consider naming fish to be bad luck (most die shortly after naming, but live forever if I dont).
But, right now I have two Borbonius anthias- Chef and Kermit.
Both were named after the Muppets; the trade name reminded me of the Swedish Chef (Börb Börb Börb!").
Yellow Coris Wrasse: Big Bird
Sea Grass Wrasse: Mr. Green Jeans (with these first 2 names I have given away my age)
Royal Gamma: "M" (very James Bond like when she hids under rocks)
Pylei Wrasse: Gomer (Gomer Pylei....hehe)
Sabae Clown: Convict (it just fit)
I don't usually name my fish, however, when I buy ones that the old owners have affectionately named they tend to stick around to my tank, so I have two percula clowns named Click and Clack (Click being the female) and a yellow tang named Taxi
Yellow Tang [RIP] - The Freak (lol he did the funniest things on the planet)
Cinnamon Clownfish - Jagger ('dances' and 'got the moves' when I put a few NLS pellets in there)
Umm, the two percula clownfish I had(lost the male) had names thanks to my mom.
Male was S***s and the female is Giggles. Kinda named after the phrase lets do this for ... and giggles. The name stuck and that is how it was, they are being replaced by B&W clowns, Giggles is too aggressive and pushed the little guy overboard into death.
lol - alright... keep in mind. I'm a freakin DORK.
Clownfish 1: J'aR-EL
Clownfish 2: K'aL-EL
Yellow Tang: Clark
Blue Damsel 1: Rocksteady
Blue Damsel 2: B-Bop
Green Mandarin: Liono
Y. Watchman Gobi: Dr. Manhattan
