Lets see those Scolymia pics!

I have bad news :( My order from Premium Aquatics was cancelled. Unfortunately, that scolymia wasn't looking too good so they decided not to ship it. So now I am on the hunt for another one. Let me know if anyone sees one!

Not as nice but pretty decent.

Sadly, no longer mine since the tank downgrade (had to sell all the big corals), but here's a cool one with two babies sprouting off the back end :

After 10+ years of reefkeeping, I finally got a scolymia. Just have a question. 1st of all, when I put it in the tank, I seemed to have tore a bit of its flesh due to the sharp skeleton. How fast does the wound heal back? Also, where is the best place to put these guys? Do they like high light? Thanks!

Once in awhile I get one in that has a little wound like that. They seem to heal pretty fast. I have some about 10-12" away from 400 watt halides, and some at the bottom of the sand bed of my 300 under halides. I'd say moderate or better lighting, and medium flow.

Time to bring this thread back!
