Marshall I forgot did you have one or two C. cf lanceolatus? I think I said this before but with mine he didn't do much until I added a second juv female then he when into over drive with the flushing of blue colors.
His dorsal fin extends fully up and he does his up and down dance which she wants really no part of and swims away. I notice this act happens more often when the radions go into dusk mode (heavy blue and uv).
I need to buy a good camera so you can see it.
I only have one juvi. Starting to show signs of transitioning though. That is quite common though, to have the mating dance go on with just the actinics. But we would need pics for you to prove it, so get on that camera

Yup, looks like a C. cf lunatus (from the Philippines). Definitely need a better pic either way
