Those are the same struts I have on my truck, and I live right by the ocean and my truck is covered in oceanspray everynight, no rust problems.
I'll use those on the next hood I build for myself.

Junkyard...in a good one you should be able to get them for less than half of that. Just be sure to check that they still hold the hatch up before you take them off and pay for them!

How heavy is your hood? I want a pair of these for my flip front canopy but it is very heavy. I'm a little leery that they will not be strong enough.

if you have ever tried to lift the hatch of a car that uses these you will know! Probably have a 100lb rating if mounted correctly. Note, different struts from different cars have different ratings.
