Light requirement: haddoni vs others?

Does a haddoni carpet require significantly more light that say a Condy or BTA, or are they similar?
I've kept those successfully but want to be sure I'm prepared before trying a Haddoni for the first time.
Thanks.

I have a blue haddoni that I have had for a little over 2 years. I have kept it under T5, MH and DIY LED. It has been fine under all lighting once aclimated. I think part of the reason they need so much light is because they are on the bottom of the tank so the light has the most water to penetrate vs anywhere else in the tank.

That said, some people will tell you that you can do with a bit less light as long as you feed it regularly. Like I said, I have had mine for a little over 2 years and never fed mine. Granted it gets food that is floating around the water but no diect feeding. It has defiently grown and kept its colour over the time Ive had it. That all said, I have had it under strong lights from day 1.

6-3' t5s over a 24" dp tank
2-250W MH over 24" dp tank
144 LEDs over 24" dp tank

This is obviously just my opinion and experience.

Light requirements for haddonis are relatively moderate. Only BTA's can get by with less light. They seem to adapt well to different lighting levels - and will adapt to very bright lighting as well as moderate lighting. In the wild they can be found in very shallow water all the way down to about 100'.

IME More light the better, once acclimated to the light. I have 2 Green Haddoni's and they love light. I notice with my two, the more light the "Richer" the color if that makes since. I run 360 Watts of LEDs over my tank. They love light and peppermint shrimp haha. I do feed mine 1-2x weekly ( mine are about 3 inches across, started with one :-O). I run a natural color spectrum compared to the sun. Lots of warm white. The tentacles are very opaque very tight, very vibrant. They are happy!

Can these carpet nems be kept under power compacts? I know bobby415 mentioned something about that. Has anyone been successful is it not enough light?

They can be- or VHO flo bulbs-which is all we had before halides. It is much easier to have success with T5 or halides though. When using less efficient light sources, you have to use basically as many bulbs over the tank as you can- which in reality costs what it would to buy more modern lighting. PAR is PAR no matter the source of light. Of course one must remember that compacts are HO T5s, just not straight tubes.

Thanks for the info everyone. I have 2 of the "reef capable" 48" fixtures which only gives me about 110 watts. Even though the optics are very focused staight down, I don't think it would be enough.
Guess I am looking at a T5 fixture for Christmas.
