Well, I finally figured out how to load photos and videos to these forums. We took short videos of our two tanks with Santa's gift to Vicki. Here are how our tanks looked as of 12/30/2007:

The tank was set up on August 3, 2007. Cycling took about five weeks. Currently we have a growing selection of LPS and SPS coral. Fish include (2) ocellaris clowns, (2) Royal Gramma, (7) Chromis Verdis, (1) Blue Tang, (1) Orangespotted Sleeper goby and (1) Bangaii Cardinalfish. Our must recent addition is a Green Mandrin Dragonet who is feasting on the copepods in the reef.

Bio-Cube with Seahorses

Bio-Cube with Seahorses

When Vicki came up with the idea to put seahorses in her 29G Bio-Cube, there was a lot of doubt whether it could be done, due to water and temperature issues. So far we are doing well and the horses get along well with their tankmates. Both the horses are eating well and have acclimated well to grazing on the LR between twice daily feedings.

In addition to the male and female Hippocampus Reidi, the tank is home to (2) black ocellaris clowns, (2) Royal Gramma and (2) twin spot gobies. Temperature is kept between 74 and 77 degrees. We use the stock Bio-Cube pump and lights, but we run a Sapphire Aquatics BC29R skimmer in the middle chamber of the built-in filter.

Thanks for viewing.

If you do set up a seahorse tank, I can recommend where to obtain your seahorses... In February, if our success continues, we are going to add another pair of a different type.

Thanks for the comments...

Nice on the videos. Your becoming the king of digital with tanks.

Closeups freak out the camcorcer's autofocus, so the best videos are wide shots...still trying to figure out manual focus...
