My dwarf lionfish had an apparent eye infection. There was a cloudiness in the left eye, and the lens that covers the eye expanded outward. The cloudy left eye had cleared up after a few days, but there still a bulge of the lens over the eye.I only have 5 fish in the tank- 2 clwns,1 damsel and a dwarf angel. Every 2 weeks i change the water, so it was no surprise that my reading were all @ 0.Wat is a suprise, however, was the eye infection. I feed him on silversides and ghost shrimp, so diet could nt be an issue.
If this sound familiar to anyone, could you give me an idea of what this was, how it may have happened ,is this common among the lionfish specimens, and a remedy to my predicament.:fish1:

How long has this lasted?

The fact that the condition is unilateral suggests that the fish most likely injured itself somehow. Are any of its tankmates chasing/bullying it? The three damsels (clowns are damsels) come immediately to mind as suspects.

Can you post a pic of the condition?
