Nice corals beautiful tank, what do you feed your sps coral?

Much thanks, I wish the colors were a bit darker. I've been thinking about trying out amino acid to see if I can pull some deeper colors out.
The 180g has 3-250w 20k radius and 2-6ft vho bulbs. I'm just waiting on plumbing it bc I'm finishing up my tile for the floor prior to getting it up.
I only feed the fish, corals aren't getting feed other then that yummy crap my fish toss into the water lol

The 300g system should be up soon, but then again I've been working so much and doing other things around the house I've put it on the back burner. Although I just placed the rest of my orders for the rest of the supplies/odds and ends together,so...soon! I appreciate the help ya have been.

Do you have Kalk reactor? Or do you just mix your ato with Kalk? I am setting up a 40 and am contemplating a Kalk reactor or 2 part.

Haha your telling me! Ive just been waiting on some odds and ends that i forget and remember after ive already done the orders lol. Otherwise im waiting on a stand for my frag tank, and just need to plumb her up! ow
I dont dose a thing. Keep up on water changes (5-10g a week, lately its been closer to 5g). Change out GFO / Carbon every 2 weeks. Feed the tank once a day(letely its been all frozen food..rods and homemade)

I mix it up in my ATO. Ive been debating on getting a Ca reactor since the tank is consuming so much i have to dose 2 part ontop of the kalk in the ato.
If i were you i would just use kalk in your ATO until demands get too high then add a Ca reactor ontop of it. Offset PH swings by having both (Thats what i will be doing on my 300g system-180g display)

Thanks for your reply. Your tank is truly beautiful. I hope mine will look as good as yours. Do you think it would be beneficial to have a Kalk reactor or not necesary?

Personally i dont think it would be necessary. I would go the cheaper route and do it through your ATO. Spend the couple extra $ on a nice controller or some other equipment. What size tank do you have? Maybe you will want to look into a Ca reactor + dosing kalk through your ATO if you have a large tank.

I would stick with kalk in your ATO. I have TONS of coral in my tank and i just started having to add 2part on top of kalk. You will be fine with that. Get a ATO or some float switches for your controller and your set. You can setup a large reservoir for the ato chamber and only have to fill it every couple months. I could only fit a 15g container in the spot so i have to fill it about every 2 weeks.

what do you keep your water parameters at? alk,ca,mag,ph on average how much do you dose in alk and ca if you where to guess? and I dose amino's and my coral are too dark lol guess i should back off now that they are all healthy..

Kalk is essentially pickling lime, so you can go to the supermarket and pick it up. Or you can go with BRS kalk, this is the route i went with because the store was out of it lol.
Thanks brudda! Ill try and get a pic of the sump up here tomorrow or Thurs. Its pretty basic, 3 chamber. 1 for sock/ skimmer, 2nd for cheato, 3rd for return
