Losing Connection to APEX

Thought I'd add my name to the list. Having the web lock up issue occasionally.
No access throut http or app, power cycle or telnet reboot fixes.
Waiting for the cure.

Ive also been having this same issue, I lose network connection from Iphone & ipad, both inside my network, and over the internet. rebooting the Apex fixes it. it has happened to me the last 2 days in a row. I'm running firmware - 4.11_AA11

I need to be on the list as well. About every couple of weeks, I loss web and home computer access. I restart the controller and........all is well.

I don't know much about networking, but will using a static IP address (Dyns.org) resolve this?

After about 30 days running 4.12 mine locked up again. No ping, no telnet...

Reserving the IP address in the router definetly helps prolong the length of up time.

I still think a line of code te reset the NIC card every 10 days or so will go a long way.

This happened to me as well. I was able to telnet in and issue a reboot.

I also get aborted requests for static files from the web server.

I seem to have had less frequent interuptions since I installed the latest version of the firmware. I also have not had any interruptions in the past 3 days since I have installed the latest version of aqua notes from the android market. Most likely just a coincedence but we shall see.

Apex network Connection failure !!! Again and Again

Apex network Connection failure !!! Again and Again

I now wish the reboot thing would work for me......It's been now 4 days that my Apex Controller is down (no web access) nothing have changed on my network....in fact I was logged in looking at the Data when it crashed....and since then nothing will do.....Reboot, Reset, Unplug..... In that period had 3 email from Paul but nothing serious.....no real troubleshooting. Honestly I regret my Apex Controller !!! I would think twice if I was to reconsider my aquisition. Other refers in my community are all using the Digital Aquatic....it had some issues but never they were down for more that 1-2 days.

Me too. I'm lucky to get three days of internet connectivity. Others in my club are selling their apex. Very disappointed in this device. And the apps to boot. Waste of my hard earned money.

Let me know if they ship! I will gladly take an EB-8 off their hands if everyone is selling!

The last time I had to reboot my Apex Jr. was January.

Same sinking/leaking boat

Same sinking/leaking boat

Wow, cant believe I did not find this thread before. I did my research, but guess I still made mistake in going with Neptune/Apex (Base, EB8, PM2, cond probe, temp etc.).

Spent close to a grand on the controller and all the extra probes, only for it to be a brick - whats the point if I cannot monitor it when (I get 2 or 3 days uptime at most) web server goes down all the time. Btw, got the latest firmware, static IP etc and followed instruction of both official and un-official install information and help on forums.

I have had the equipment for less than month, think I can return it for refund? Bought it direct from Neptune website? Is the 1800 number?

I so wanted this to work!

I hear ya! I'm gonna give Neptune a couple months to figure it out. They need to realize that word of mouth is the best, and worst advertisement.

It sounds like there is some bug in the firmware. It is impossible to write firmware that works perfectly, in every situation, every single time for a system that's almost infinitely configurable. Multi-billion dollar corporations can't do it, so I don't find it surprising that a small specialty shop can't either.

Experience shows that the issues will be resolved.

This has been going on for too long with the APEX it seems. Monitoring my tank was the biggest reason I got the APEX and I can't go a day without losing connection. Neptune needs to wake up and fix this!!!

I lose and gain it thru out the day. I just need to wait a few seconds and then try the app again and I am able to get the data. I've tried everything, even a new wireless bridge and nothing seems to fix it.
