Anyone using this light? I thought I read that it was good for growing chaeto.

If not, what light are you using and having success with?

The one I use is by Lights of America. It is under the worklight section on the website. Mine is from WalMart $23.
-65 watts
-6500 K
-4550 lumens
It produces clear, crisp, blue/white visible light. I unbolted the stand that came with it, and made a hanging rig for the sump. My chaeto growth is riddiculous!
You can put the light closer to the surface if you like marino. Flouro light waves don't travel very far. If your light is 1.5 feet from the chaeto, it is getting very little light. You will definately notice a change in growth as your source light is moved closer.

Which Walmart did you get yours from? I went to the one in Brentwood today but they didn't have any. Also went to Lowes but they didn't have anything but LOA replacement bulbs.
