LTA question

I notice the majority of anenome keepers dont keep LTA's. Why so?

Although BTA's are more common (I assume) and easier to care for, a good number of folks do keep LTA's. LTA's are moderately difficult to keep (of host anemones which are already considered difficult to keep compared to the majority of marine fish). Also, LTA's are not natural host to as many species of clowns as BTA's. So although fairly common for aquarists, LTA's are likely outnumbered by BTA's.

I've actually been more pleased with my LTA than my BTA's. My bta's wander too much, but I do receive store credit when they divide. My LTA hasn't budged for 10-11 years once provided with a nice sandbed (PVC pipe full of sand) but it's huge and has never split. Then again it's 18" in diameter and quite impressive.

my lta doesnt like being on the sand, prefers having its foot in a cave halfway up the tank in the rocks. I wish it would stay on the sand though.
