Micki??????? I must be slow...

Just a member of RC who likes to double and triple post. :)

 yeah Micki is pretty well known for that...not sure how it happens all the time though

Yeah waiting.....and sanding does suck...hope I can keep the dust sectioned off from the area w/ the furnace. I have plastic up separating the basement halves.

Rockwork??? I have no rock work...no LR that is but I guess I have sheet rock. Just not the kind of rockwork this forum is used to seeing

2nd coat of mud on!!! All the corner bead is on w/ a coat on that. The guy hopes to come back Monday and maybe 1-2 times next week and then on Sat. for the texture!!!

I got a coat of mud on all the screw holes in the fishroom. Need to do one more maybe. We are not coating the tape anymore then when we put it on. Will prime and paint right over it since it doesn't need to be pretty so I can get the fish room up and ready pretty soon :D

Man mud the tape!! You'll be sorry every time you look at it! I know you're in a hurry but it will be soooo ugly!

Gratz on the progress though ;). Almost done.

Definitely mud the tape. I hate it when it come peeling off the ceiling joints/corners. You've taken your time so far, why rush it now?

Hey, we need some update pictures!

Just a little tip: Mix half/half Plaster of Paris and Sheet Rock Joint Compound, it dries quick and you'll be ready for sanding and priming. It was a good tip from a guy that does sheet rock work.
Make only the amount you need and keep it covered while using the amount you spread.

Kewl, soon we have water? yes?

No :( Still need some stuff and need to buy and cure my base rock from marco

Final skim coat went on tonight. Tomorrow night at 6pm I get texture. After the living room is painted and stuff the tank room gets all the attention. First thing I need to move the tank out and stand and mop the crap out of the floor and put a new coast of blue paint on the floor since I messed it all up w/ the mud and primer :(

The anticipation is killing me! I can't wait to see the final product here.. I've been watching this thread for quite some time now. Cheers, Lunchbucket. :)

Texture is done!! Drying tonight, priming tomorrow night, and painting Sat or Sunday :D

Do we need a pic of the texture???

Close up of the texture. This picture is quite deceiving as it is not that thick. The texture is VERY lite almost a mist the closest thing we could have to smooth walls

Nice, I love textured walls. Smudges, scrapes and soso repairs are so easy to hide this way.

So quit slacking already, show us water!
