LB, don't know if you have ordered your BHs yet but thought I'd let you know. The ones that flexpvc.com sells can accept female couplers of the next size pvc on the outside threads (where the nut goes) of the BH. So I bought 3 - 1" BHs and used 1.25" pvc on the outside. Once I core out the inside of the BH with my dremel, I will technically have 3 - 1.25" BHs instead. I just thought that was pretty neat. I also ordered their 1.5" BHs with the strainer (much better looking than the MEGA strainers people are using) but haven't tried it yet. Hopefully, I won't get any cavitation with these strainers.
Bulkheads - I got the black strainers at the bottom of that page.

Heck I could have seen melev this weekend. Flew out to San Fran for a Trade show for my biz and was at the Dallas Fort Worth Air port. Had aboutg 10min there though Then was in San Fran for 3days in Chicago and home.

Another option is to drill the correct sized hole in a piece of MDF, and then glue that board to the acrylic tank with 3M double-sided tape. Using a router with a bearing as the guide, route out the hole as it traces the inner rim of the MDF template.
