Take a 1/4 raw shrimp (make it .25x.25 inch) and puree it. Feed it to the tank. Not only will some of the snails be happy but the bacteria will be too. It may not seem like a lot of shrimp, but the bioload it will produce is quite a bunch.

here's a quick update.

sooo after hearing just about every excuse in the book, John from Advanced Acrylic finally finished some products. products I paid for 10 months ago in Oct 2016.. while waiting, I started building my car and allowed the tank to cycle for 10 months..

ATO arrived today. 150gal. 50gal fresh for ATO, 100gal salt for AWC.

bought a healthy female crosshatch trigger for $500. pretty good deal.. but now I have to find a male..

other fish in QT: 3 yellow tang, 1 convict tang, 1 yellow boxfish, 1 copperband butterfly, 1 algae blenny, 1 pair mandarin, 2 firefish
other fish in TTM: flame angel, sand sifting goby, Harlequin tuskfish, purple tang, cardinal

I put all my corals in.. still looks empty..

fish in tank: lightning clown, foxfish, 2 golden rhomboid wrasse, lineatus wrasse

started carbon and gfo today. Trying out the Next Reef reactor. cool little toy.

water pumps in from the bottom, pushes out from the top and overflows around the edges. The base is a little bigger so you can place the reactor next to a wall and water won't flow out of sump.

the flaw.. hard to clean the dry carbon at first. and the entire reactor depends on 2 small 3mm o rings. lose either o-ring and the whole thing falls apart. and I don't think tumbling is possible..

also starting a little Star Wars rock.. death star & ATAT coming up

Also got a small black tang. I'm aiming to get a gem tang too. but not sure how the big 5" Purple will say to that... I'm putting in 2 small yellow tang in next week to test water..
so far the tank bully is the 3" Tusk.. biting new wrasse..

That Colorado Sunburst is probably the only anemone I'd risk my SPS for. Maybe I'd staple him to a rock to be sure though

been busy with the Dastaco install lately. Finally got it fixed. issue was the Peri pump. I'm still in the testing phrase.
