Hi guys. I have a couple of high-bay lights I got from my stepfather's business. They were free and so I'm going to use them. The way the aquarium is going to be set up will have them hidden up inside a wall anyway above the tanks. I really want to use the Iwasaki 6500K MT400D/BUD, but I can'f find anyone who actually sells the BUD version, just the horizontal one. So that leaves me with the MT400DL/BUD. The problem is, the DL is made for H33 fixtures, not M59. From what I can tell though, they're basically the same thing.
I can say this much about my ballast for sure. It's a Lumark M59 magnetic ballast that is CW type. The model number on it is MHLM-400-MT-U.
The bulb that WAS in it when I got it, was a Phillips H33GL-400/DX 400Watt Mercury Vapor. So IT runs just fine in that fixture, am I wrong in assuming the Iwasaki MT400DL/BUD will run just fine in my M59 magnetic ballast?
What are my risks here? What's my most likely problem, and what's my worst-case problem?
Thanks
