Macro Algae Tank Journal (dialup Warning)

I will update when I can - I just got finished moving the tank to it's new home (100 miles away) ....so, things are a little shaken. I'll take photos when it starts to look more attractive :]

Awesome set up!

If you ever decide to trim the condium(fuzzy tubular stuff) I would gladly compensate! The red one is the shizznit!

AFTER THE MOVE:

Okay - now it's time for the depressing shots:

This is the tank after it's 100 mile move about three weeks ago :[

Additions to the tank since the move:
1 canary blenny (jumped already)
1 multiband pipefish (still doing okay so far)

I'll post more pics as I start noticing significant changes :

The tank still looks good, too bad there were soo many losses. Things will recover quickly for you I'm sure.

What is the orange thing, sponge?

It'd be really hard to get a pic of the eviotas - they're always tucked back in the algae real good when I do see them... The tangaroas will be easy to get a shot of - they're always right up front and brave - lol - I'll try to tak some pictures and post em up by tonight.

Tanks comin along just fine - I've added some fish within the past week:

1 yasha hasa goby
2 bar gobies
3 bangai cardinals
1 bluespot jawfish

And I added a green brain....

Pictures in just a bit here..............

Wonder what are the dimensions of your tank? It's a 67g right? And what size koralias are those? my 50g tanks are 36x18x18 and I have a heck of a time doing flow in them w/o either being too little or blowing crap all over the place. I got some macro growing in there now so it's slowly starting to take shape! I've got some small grape calerpa, feather, and just added some sargassum from reefcleaners.org last week. All these algaes are doing ok but not taking off tremendously fast. I put some codium in there too which mysteriously disappeared over night.. I think I can thank a small mithrax for that one! Anyways, if I could find out what you're using for pump there that'd be great, thanks.

Great tank. I love Macro. I bought some Florida Live Rock just to get the macro. Woudl be interested in the flow too. I have a 60 and I have 2 koralias, a 3 and a 4 and I have to be very careful on them. Blowing crap everywhere problem. I do love those things though.

My tank is an ADA aquarium from Japan and mesured in centimeters - so, 120cm x 45cm x 45cm - which ends up being close to 48" x 18" x 18". I'm running (2) Koralia 2s and (2) koralia 1s in that tank. The 2s are up top there, and the 1s are on each side (you can see it pretty well in the pics). Danny - when you add new algaes, IME, it takes em a little bit to start taking off - it's probably that new algaes need to acclimate their growing patterns per your tank specifics (like adapting to different lights/flow/chemistry).
