I think your title is a bit misleading. I read it as you were a noob photog, which clearly you aren't. Nice pics.

Me too. I thought these were great shots for a noob, then I went and reread the title. After rereading his title it really isn't all that misleading.

Nice pictures, I always love macro stuff. Are you using a tripod? That lens does not have IS, correct? I have been wanting a macro lens for my canon for awhile.

No, the lens doesn't have IS. For the closeups I hold the lens right up close to the glass, with the tip of my finger as a spacer. A tripod results in the lens being too far away from the tank for really close shots.
