ReefDaddy was the driving force behind this but I think he is no longer in the hobby. I think Jas was involved, if there is interest we can contact him. The website is ready to do it again for photos and voting, we just need someone to coordinate judging, etc.
I want my tank entered at some point, but I am still recovering from alk problems during the holidays (all acros were partially to totally bleached, most have recovered but taking their time to color back up).

Jas and I were hoping to get this up and running again last time. If Jas is too busy with his current role I'd be happy to take it up on my own. I agree that this is a fun part of reefkeeping and want to see it back up. We just need to increase the number of entries to make it work.

To get this going the organizer (ctreefer) just needs to create a nomination thread for the month with a deadline for submission of photos. We then post the photos on the website 'featured tank' voting page, with a date for the end of the voting. The website will show the winner.
When this was first run there was some discussion over the type of tank per month, etc. It can be any tank, or we can have a month for softy tanks, stony tanks, nanos, etc. What would y'all like to have?

Greg, I'm going to start a new thread on this after I get a hold of ReefDaddy and Jeff to pick their brains on how the process was before hand. I'll post a link here as soon as the thread is started.
Anyone, feel free to post here your thoughts for different themes and I'll include them in the list and we'll put together a poll to find the most popular to start with. I'd maybe suggest say for the sake of timing maybe we open up the return to the tank of the month to all size reef tanks just to get it started, but I'm open to other ideas.

how about a few that go by equipment, like tanks lit mainly by halides, T5,PC/VHO, or skimmerless tanks, sumpless?
LPS only, SPS only, softie only?
then of course different size tanks.
i think this would make it able for more people to win. JMO, but 9/10 times a tank with halides and nice equipment will look nicer(has nicer corals/animals) than a tank with PCs and a maxijet. Everyone deserves a shot
