marine magic dosing pump review

What are most people dosing with these pumps (i.e., Ionic 2-Part, etc.)? I currently manually dose and would love to automate the process. Don't the solutions have to be mixed (stirred) before dosing (like the buffer)? How do you keep them from settling?

glad to have found this thread! I saw these on ebay some months ago and was a little skeptical.
I just sold my skimmer and have a PayPal balance burning a hole in my E-wallet ;)

how did you get the 3 heads for $40 total shipped? by best offer? it is listed as $19.90 each.

Go to ebay and do a search for "Dosing pump magic" and they should come up unless he is out of stock which happens quite frequently however he does stock up pretty quick. I believe there is only 1 seller who sells this.

I just checked and he seems to be out for now. Check back next week.
 
Thanks for that great review Midnightsun glad you liked the pump as well as I and others are seeming to also.

right now I am dosing the 2 part but I just got another tripple pump so I can also dose vodka and mag. and have an extra for if I need to dose something else.

I have been keeping contact with the seller and it seems he may start building single dosers and quad dosers sometime in the future so that will be great.
 
I double checked my purchase on the pump heads and misinformed you. It was actually $45 and not $40. Sorry about the confusion but age seems to bring memory loss. :hmm4:
 
Has anyone had any problems with the motors going out. I am about to buy one of the 3 pump units and was wondering about the quality. I am going to Germany this summer for 2 months and want to know that the unit will work the entire time I'm gone.
 
Also little tip make a offer of $115. he should take it thats the lowest he told me he could go thats the dual model i dnt know how much he can do on the triple

I have not heard of this yet. They only operate less tan a minute a day, I seriously think it will be years before a motors goes out.
 
it seems the seller is out of the units for now. i see a single pump head and/or motor but that is about it.

i guess i will just have to check every so often or does he have a website?
