marine magic dosing pump review

It's basically a knock off of the Bubble Magus, actually it has the same box, same pump heads but different electronics. Looks real nice but the price is starting to get up there.

he must have found out they are better than expected.

I still like the older style with timers for each pump. but not saying this one won't work just as good.

also noticed it now has a 1 year warrenty

The only thing I don't like about this pump is the fact that if the unit doesn't have constant power it goes into auto mode on its own. I want to use my Apex to control it instead of the timers, I just don't trust them and I can't monitor them away from home, but plugging it into my apex I have to have the outlet off except for the times I want it to dose.

For example, I want it to dose ever hour for 15 seconds for 12 hours. Well the pump only gets power for 15 seconds every hour if I do that and eventually the backup battery loses power and goes from ON to AUTO when it gets power again. I wish there was some way to keep it in the ON mode.

you will be happy with the dual pump. mine is still running strong and doses the same ammount now as it did when I 1st tested it.

as for Jon Baldwin, it is hard to say, but his collage numbers don't look bad at all however the NFL is much diffrent. I have seen some great collage players suck very bad once they hit the NFL. but him being 230lbs and 6'5" that will make a great receiver.

I still say the cheifs were dumb for getting rid of Jared Allen though.

thanx for the response.... glad yours and hopefully mine, is running so good still....

I like the look of our Receivers..... he will be a nice compliment to bowe....

and I do STRONGLY agree that we should have kept ALLEN.... not only was he a pro-bowler.... he also brought the pumped up attitude to the field and I think it also affected his teammates!

good stuff-

Just as an update I have been running my dual head for over 2 months now (you can see my previous post was march 9th and I had it up and running before that). No problems at all, still doses perfectly. I also adjusted the pump the other day and it was just as easy as the first time. Resetting the clocks for daylight savings was also a breeze.

I have a nitrate reactor that needs I believe 30 ml/per min or 3 gallon an hour or something like that Would these units work for constant feed? Thanks in advance

Yes, they will, but long term maintenance cost will be higher. Peristaltic pumps are not meant for continuous usage.

Hope it helps,
MaLi

BTW the single dosers are available for sale right now.

The motors (according to them) will run 150 hours before they burn out. They sell the motors for 30 bucks. I mights just buy some as back ups in case anything happens to the company LOL.

moondoggy I agree that any perlistic dosing pump is not a good idea for continus use. when I had a nitrate reactor running I just used a maxijet i beleive 400 and put that inline with a small ball valve and turned it s it would give me just enough drips to get what I needed.

Looks like they have the dual dosers available again. Are you guys still happy with these units ? I was going to go with a couple of BRS dosers but these units look nice, No timer is needed with these correct ?

Thanks Shifty and Mali I will get a pump not sure which one Deltec recommended the Tunze 1073.020 about 81 bucks. I think I will either buy a couple of single units or the new dual model peristaltic pumps. Thanks for this thread

No timer needed, each pump have a individual timer. Plus, I find them to be pretty compact when comparing them to using two brs pumps.
