I don't know if this is entirely true, I just read it somewhere that some people had problem with foxfaces and zoas.

What's your livestock list now? Going to add anymore?

I would take the magnificent over the zoas

Right now, my stocking list

1 powder blue tang
1 copperband butterfly
1 flasher wrasse (yet to identify him 100%)
1 mystery wrasse
1 rosy scale fairy wrasse
1 mated pair of rhomboid fairy wrasses
4 bartlett anthias
9 chomis (plus one in my sump)
1 diamond spot goby

Jay, I will be adding more fish. At one time I have 26 fish in my 90. I got into this hobby because of the fish, and I believe in not killing corals slowly by starving them.

I have my eye on about 4-5 more wrasses, 2 possibly 3 tangs, some dispar anthias, amoungst a few other goodies ;)

pics look great Mark wish i could come over with Alicia tomarrow but work have to work. i guess i will have to make a trip in a few months. let me know if i can replace anything you lose.

Thanks Brian. It would of been cool to have you come thru with Alicia, . You are always more than welcome ;)

Marc you should be ok with magnificent foxface. been having him 6 months now and no nipping on anything at all, and eats everything from nori to fresh food mix.

very hardy and fast grower. bought him at 4" 6 months ago and now over 7". i like the metallic the colors on him that's what sold me.

mark, i think your unknown flasher wrasse is a carpenters flasher wrasse.

What other wrasses you getting? I'm starting to get hooked on them. I need to go look around...I have a list of stuff to find.

Last time I checked, I know John has a couple of lubbocks and an exquisite.

Thanks for your input Jay, but I am almost positive it is not a carpenter's. I am not at liberty to say what other wrasses I am after; whats the fun in that. Lets just say that I am an impulse buyer so if something catcjes my eye, it usually ends up in my tank ;)

I am going out to Yourreef tomorrow, but I am good on wrasses for now. I need to get things on the tank buttined up. I finished my wrasse protective screen netting tonight. I will think about bring in my zoas tomorrow.

Just a heads up for everyone if you were keeping scrore; Yuma 1, dendro 0 :(

Does it look like this? Middle of the page

Not really, I will try to get a "flash" shot this weekend. It has so many colors on it. Most of the time it's body is a plum red/purple with some blue that is blended in with a silver gill area. There is also orange on his dorsal fin.

I really do not like flashers. I saw this one and implused hiim home. John also has a really interesting one in his diplay. Its purple with a orange section through the body and there is some white on it as well.

I am getting my wrasse book today so I will start to be able to identify my fishes a little easier. Thanks

No new updates from Mark.
Emma must have dragged Mark to the fish store.
Emma must be forcing Mark to bring home some goodies
Emma must force Mark to share photos of such stated goodies :)

I got my magnificent foxface today and I was little dissapointed that it was not as small as I was told. This fish is a wondeful specimen, but it is just larger than I thought it was going to.

After acclimation, I put him in the tank and my PBT went straight for him all flared up. As I was relaxed about it, Alicia kept stressing me out. She kept asking "aren't you worried"? I dropped some more food and we left to go to the LFS. I picked up a new wrasse book, another 300 watt heater, some red macro and we returned home. When we got home the powder blue and magnificent looked like they had "worked things out" :p

A couple other reefers came by today and its always nice to see the reactions of others. The tank has been a total stress point of late. I am tired of the "next thing".

Oh well, I need to remember this when I think of upgrading ever again.

Here is my new 5.25" magnificent foxface

Well Mark, he may be larger than you wanted, but that is a GORGEOUS fish! I don't know, but I may end up with one of those down the road. I love the red amidst the spines.:eek1:

WHY! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS GET THE THINGS I WANT, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE THE COOL KID ON THE BLOCK WITH A NEW FOX FACE,,,,,,HU HU... Give someone else a chance to be cool!

You guys are funny  I am just some loser that likes reef tanks. I figured that I should get these nice fish because I am the the midst of going fish only, one acro at a time :(
