Fish looks great Mark! Good luck on your acro's! I hope you don't lose anymore!!!!

The thought of picking up a Magnificent had crossed my mind too. Funny

Guess I'll have to come up with something else and hope you don't get it first ;)

Great fish Mark, So are you really losing that many corals or just a few and it seems like alot right now?

Did you stop by AL today? I went by there that Achilles was long gone.
I didnt see much else even though they were just opening a new shipment. Well i did see the biggest Clown tang i have ever seen. Man those are awesome fish would put one up there with a Sohal. But seems there aquarium life are short.

Mark, The tank looks great and I think your corals, at least most of them will be fine in a few months after they adjust. I think everything looks remarkable considering the upgrade you just did. I admit it, I was totally stressing Mark out about his two fish...I get so stressed when fish have issues with each other. I want everyone to just get along, lol. Mark's pair of Rhomboids are so gorgeous in the reef tank swimming about. Jeez, if I had a bigger tank I would definately get a pair of those beauties.

Davey- We stoppd by AL today. Its on the right path, but that is a little too far to draw my attention for my regular fish store runs.

I have lost a few corals, most of them are "touchy" corals. That is the problem as they were doing so well. The truth is my tank is pretty happy. In the last years I have lost less that 10% of new corals and frags, including wilds. I know this is decent as my collection is not just made up of millies and youngei's. So, when I say that the sky is falling, I might be overreacting.

Thanks Alicia. It was good to have you come by and put my mind at rest. Its always the corals that don't look that great that I worry about, its not the other 97% that are asking to be photo'd :p

Alicia ordered a very nice fish and forgot to check the final size. All she kept saying was "a 5 inch fish in my 70". I was in the other room and I would hear "5 inch fish", it was pretty comical as I was watch the Magnificent and PBT get to know each other a little better. I did learn that it is too late to add an achilles; it looks like I missed out on my window of opportunity :(

It is true, I was initially stressing about my own stupid mistake of ordering a fish that turned out to be 5" :eek1:, I forgot to check the size, what a dork. Anyways the reef gods and godesses were looking out for me as LA called later in the dayand said the fish was unhealthy at this point and they did not want ot ship it in that state. They had noticed I had wanted to cancel the order as the fish was to big (I was told on the phone while I was sitting at Marks dining room table earlier in the morning that it was bagged up and ready to ship to me so I could not cancel). So then he releases the Magnificent Foxface and Powder Blue starts in on him, they were jawing at each other and posturing and all that. I was already so stressed about my stupid mistake and the fact that I was getting a huge fish for my little 70g tank that the issues between Mark's fish were to much for me, LOL. Poor Mark. I later found out the 5" fish was not to be, thankfully. Things have a way of working themselves out.

To bad about the Achilles Mark, they are gorgeous. Not meant to be eh?

For now ;) The only way I'd be up to try another is if I added 2-3 tangs at that time and a few other distractor fish

The new foxface looks great. I to panic when I have to add a new fish. I think I must make the fish as nervous as I am with the way I stare at them to make sure no one gets hurt.

Thanks Stacie. I tried a few zoas by his cave and they are all open today. Hmm, I might try a few more :)

tbone- The mortality rate of achilles are very high. That in combination of my mishaps are only two issues that led to the demise of that fish. :( It is hard to say what the official cause was, but I will send it in for an official analysis and a tox screen as well.

LOL, i'll shaddup now :p

Not too much going on today. Since I was working on my zoa collection, I decide to do some fragging. I will need to finish it tomorrow.

I am getting used to the H&S. I am really happy with it. The discharge smells pretty bad though. I will need to do something to filter the smell. Just a quick shot now that the skimmer is broke in :p

that neck looks nasty Mark!

Like I have always said, I believe in nutrient rich systems. I see at least 5-10 posts a week along the lines "what is wrong with my colors" or "why are my color dull"; I just want to pull my hair out. Feed the tank then dummy :p

Low nutrients systems such as zeo and probidio work, but it is a system. You can't just do one or two things and expect the results that a full blown system will get. Its lkind of like if I went to the gym and did one set of one exercise and expected to be ready for the Mr. Oylmpia contest ;)
