I was working on shooting some shots this morning before the lights came on.

Shooting fish is one of my favorites as it is manual, free hand and they are always moving. I could not get a clear shot of the flasher. That thing moves around more that a tang on meth.

Ooh a mystery wrasse... Is that also a cleaner wrasse?

Yeah, it a cleaner wrasse. I am getting ready to add a couple of tangs soon, so it is preventative if anything. The new cleaner shrimp I got are small and no one goes to the cleaning station. My PBT was stressed out for the move and the rosy is showing some some signs as well :(

I got is an order today that was based around a Hawaiian spotted kole tang (Ctenochaetus truncatus) but the bad it was shipped in had a leak. It had about 1/3 the water and I believe the fish was out of water. I put it in an acclimation but with heater and a powerhead, but it does not look goob. It is not in my garage QT.

I also ordered a couple other goodies. I got in some dispar anthias but there were 4 males and 1 female, when I asked for 4 females and one male. I also picked up a twin spot hogfish after seeing a few in a local display tank.

The rest of the order was made up of inverts to qualify for the free shipping.

I did take a couple pics today. Nothing to special as I as just playing around with the settings and how they look on the tank.

Thanks Bryan. That is the ATL yellowjacket shurasoni. I had an infestation of asterinas. Th efunny thing is that I added this littel guy and every morning, the asterinas are on the glass now :)

Very nice piece.

Yup the Harlequin wont get all the asterinas. I've had mine for about 6 months and i still have some asterinas.

mark, who did you place the order with?

the twinspot is cool little creature. I have one in my tank... the little guy always seems to intrigue me somehow.

Jay- I'll tell you next time in person. I have no problem giving praise about a great product or great service, but I won't talk about one bad experience. This hobby's succes is largely based on reputation.

I went out to the garage to see how my HSKT was doing after a few hours in the 29 QT. I was happy to find him swimming a little bit. Earlier he was doing that swim on the side thing, so I had to get a shot of him. The lighting is all screwed up and it is out of focus as he was under the eggcrate so I played with it a bit. No matter what, he is a fighter and I'm pulling for him

Thanks guys. Since they sent more males dispars than females, I isolated two males and put them into QT. I want to do a little more research before I decide what I am going to do with those two.

To bad about the screw up with the dispars...that seems like such an obvious thing. Who would order 4 males and 1 female unless you were one sick ba***** and wanted to watch the fight that would ensue.

Can you put up a full body shot of the new tang, that fish looks really beautiful. I am pulling for him.

I am thinking about getting a few twin spot hogfish myself after seeing them, maybe three of them :). I have to decide if the tank can hold that many fish. The yellow was quite nice on those that John had at YourReef and that is one color I need in both my tanks.

BTW, The Rosy is out and about. All posturing by the Wantanabe ceased the day after introduction. Although he does hang out often in the top corner of the tank so there may be something still going on between them. When he ventures down and swims in the rocks and the middle part of the tank all seems mellow. He is super colorful and eating well. Wouldn't you know it, a non reef person came over for dinner last night and talked about how pretty the Rosy Scale Wrasse was...then proceeded to announce that it looked just like a betta !!!! OMG, it is always like that.

Mark, if you want to give up your Dispars, I'll take em off you.

I also would love to see a full body on your new tang!

Slojmn, that's pretty funny. My coworker just had a new baby boy, and hasn't maintenanced his tank in months. He's got a bunch of aiptaisa now. He told me his non-reefing relatives commented on how nicely that *coral* swayed in the current :D
